Painted Prototypes

This page shows known prototypes that are painted (plaster) molds.

Queen Sun Sparkle

This fancy looking pony is a prototype that was shown in several booklets. This prototype is made out of plaster. She's handpainted and doesn't even have a neckplug. She's also bigger than her normal counterpart.

She was probably on display at toyfairs as well as used for photoshoots, like the one in the booklet (the third and fourth picture below).

Heart Block Baby Pony Prototype

This painted unknown baby came in a lot on ebay. Because of her colour scheme it is speculated this was a early version of Baby Honey Berry. 

No early pictures from pamphlets/ booklets/ catalogues of this prototype are known at the moment.

Baby Twins Drifter and Dreamer

These painted prototypes of Dreamer and Drifter showcase the inital colour scheme and symbols for these twins. These designs were still used on the file cards.

The pre-production versions of these ponies were also still used in several inserts/ booklets.
