Magic Motion Petal Blossom Prototype
This prototype was found on a fleamarket in Italy by a friend of Collector SoSilver. A second one was found by collector Moonshimmer. It even came with several accessories that match the booklet picture. This is the pony used in booklets, before she was turned into a non-magic motion pony in 1999. |
Apple Meadow
This prototype has been found in France by a collector. Her origins were unknown. At first I believed her to be a factory error. Until I got to see a toy catalog from 2001 and there she was! This pony has no symbol, nor does her green colour match any of the regular ponies' colours. Her manes are different from Puff's. Below are the three ponies from the Fruit set featured in the French Toy Catalogue. There were to be themed Orange, Strawberry and Apple :) |
Jewel/ Sparkle prototype
This pony has been found alongside another oddball baby pony in lot from LebonCoin.fr Her body colour is a light blue and her eyes are painted. Her symbol seems to be pink instead of the usual purple and is mirrored. One of her hooves has been scraped, perhaps as if she were glued to a display. This pony hasn't been found in any booklet or catalogues yet. If you spot her, let me know for verification :) |

I-have-no-clue oddball/ prototype (name to be announced ;) )
|
This pony was found alongside the Jewel/ Sparkle pony mentioned above.
Unfortunately I have no clue what set she could have been a prototype of. Quality-wise she matches any regular Hasbro G2. The comb that was also in this lot nearly matches that of 2000 Ivy, but is only just slightly darker. It pretty hard to photograph but I added it anyway. The paint residue on her head might have been from a headdress of some sort. She's been pictured alongside Moondust/ Stardust for comparison. Her pink is darker than the other's. If you have any info on this pony, let me know! |
Drifter/ Dreamer
Baby Tickle Heart
Talking G2 Prototype
This prototype stands at 7" tall, compared to the normal-sized Princess Fuscia next to it which is only 4" tall. It has no painted eyes or symbols, but makes several different sounds when the button on the bottom of its foot is pressed. |
Big G2 (Fashion Style?) prototypes
These two ponies were on showcase during the 2019 USA Pony Fair in Tampa, Florida. These were on Kirk Hindman's table. Unfinished prototypes matching the lighter pony's pose have also been auctioned on Ebay in the past. Source: ebay.com
