Small Variants

Some of the smaller variants will be listed here. Only the most notable variants will make it to this list.
Lots of G2's have slight variations in their eyes, so in order not to make this list an endless endeavour, it will be kept simple (-ish) :)

This baby was released with a closed mouth and an open mouth. 

Copper Glow 2001
Silver Tinsel* (left) vs. gold tinsel (right)
It could be the case that the silver tinsel is just the gold rubbed off the regular coloured tinsel.

Sun Sparkle and Baby Sunbeam 2000
Both ponies were released with either blue eyes or purple eyes.

Baby Sunbeam on the right belongs with the 'purple eyed' Sun Sparkle. Just like Sun Sparkle, her body is a more peachy pink and her pupil/ eyelashes are purple instead of dark blue.

Mommy Sweet Berry 2000
Different body and hair colours. The lighter Sweet Berry is also smaller than her counterpart. Her symbol is also mirrored.
Lady Satin Slipper 2000

Baby Honey 2000
The differences are not as huge as with Sweet Berry, but there are some minor ways to tell them apart. The Honey on the left has a less bright symbol and has a more 'dull' body colour than her counterpart. The Honey on the left goes with the light coloured Sweet Berry.
